West Wales Dog Rescue has now been launched.
West Wales Dog Rescue (formerly Ceredigion Animal Rescue and Education) has now extended our geographic boundaries to include Pembrokeshire and Carmarthenshire. Our Aims and Constitution remain exactly the same so the Charity Commission has been happy to allow us to change the name while keeping to the same principles. Our Registered Charity number remains as 1116262.
Our aim is to help and rescue dogs in need in the three counties, however we are happy to help other companion animals. We helped re-home approximately 100 dogs this last year and also gave advice to owners to allow them to keep their dogs at home. We are based near Cardigan and covering the Three Counties put all the money raised towards rehoming or fostering local dogs that need help. If an animal is in danger and needs to be moved out of or to another part of the UK for safety we do what we can to assist. All our dogs go out neutered (unless there is a medical reason not to), micro-chipped, wormed, vaccinated and de-fleaed. We give them lifetime rescue backup (and of course the dogs placed by C.A.R.E. continue to have this). We are happy to rehome across the UK subject to a satisfactory homecheck.
We would like to thank all our volunteer staff and all members of the public for their support.

Second hand Shop
We currently have a second-hand shop in cardigan who raise funds for WWDR and they are always in need of donations. The items have to be in very good condition and they cannot accept anything electrical.
The shop will arrange local collections if you cannot get the items to them. Please contact the shop manager Rob Mathias.
If you would like to volunteer at the shop please contact the manager who will be happy to speak to you.
Volunteer Come and volunteer at West Wales Dog Rescue
We are constantly in need of volunteers to give up their time to love care for and help our dogs. We welcome all volunteers although children under 16 need to be accompanied by an adult. However, please note, we are dedicated in our work and expect the same level of love and commitment from our volunteers.
We need help with fundraising, posters.
